Awaiting | چشمانتظار
Bahram escapes from Mustafa, a slave trader, and Shokouh from Isfahan to Abadan. In his interactions with the boatman Ahmad, Bahram becomes interested in his daughter, Tala. Tala, a woman with a history, attracts the attention of a notorious smuggler named Mehdi Mar, who is being pursued by the authorities. Bahram and Tala get married, but the peaceful life they hoped for is disrupted with the arrival of Mustafa, Ghulam, and Shokouh in Abadan. They take Bahram back to Isfahan, and after Mehdi Mar returns, he promises Tala to remove Bahram, whom he suspects of betrayal. On the other hand, a conflict arises between Tala and Mustafa, leading to Tala being accused of Mustafa’s murder. She flees to Isfahan with Mehdi Mar. In Isfahan, Mehdi and Bahram face each other, and after resolving misunderstandings, Mehdi helps Bahram prove Tala’s innocence. Ghulam, at Shokouh’s suggestion, takes Tala hostage, but due to a plot against him, Shokouh turns against Ghulam. In the ensuing confrontation with Mehdi, Shokouh falls from a rooftop and is killed. In the end, Bahram and Tala reunite, and Mehdi seeks his own destiny.
