Hamid (Gholamali Ravanbakhsh) decides to drown himself in the Karun River due to poverty. He gives up and a poor young man named Mansour (Ali Tabesh) gives him hope for life. The two make a pact to help each other in any situation and hold hands. Both go to Tehran, and Hamid wishes to own an accordion. At night, when Hamid is sleeping, Mansour goes to a shop to steal an accordion and is arrested and sentenced to six months in prison. Hamid, who thinks that Mansour has left him, gets in the way of a lustful woman named Nasreen (Zhaleh Olov). Nasreen shelters Hamid and marries him soon after. Mansour is released from prison and finds Hamid. But Hamid forgets the pact he made with her during the days of poverty and poverty and rejects her at Nasreen’s request. Mansour meets and marries a vagabond singer named Goli / Masoumeh (Mahin Deyhim). In the days when Nasreen betrays Hamid and has a party with her friend Bijan (Beik Khan), Goli and Mansour make a living by washing clothes and drawing water from the pond, until they find the wallet that she returns to its owner and receive the good news of a small shop. they open, and they gradually boost their work. Bijan causes Hamid to break his leg while skiing and amputate it in the hospital. Nasreen kicks her husband out of the house, and after a while she falls into bankruptcy. Hamid stands in Mansour’s way and shelters him. Some time later, Mansour confronts Nasreen and sends her to her husband.
