Jalal-far decides to send his son Ali to university according to his late wife’s will and encourages him to study. Ali takes the university entrance exam for the fifth time, and due to his unstable mental state, he is taken to a psychiatric hospital during the exam. The treating doctor declares that Ali’s psychological issues are due to a lack of love and advises Jalal-far to find a wife for him. Jalal-far, who is a notary, takes Maliheh Khanom to his home after divorcing her from her husband, intending to marry her.
