Amir and Maryam plan to get married, but Maryam’s car crashes into a ravine, and newspapers report her as dead. Maryam’s cousin, Zari, who has feelings for Amir, secretly brings letters that Maryam writes to Amir and tries to get close to him. Maryam returns and discovers that Amir and Zari have developed feelings for each other. However, after learning of Maryam’s survival, Amir marries her, and they become parents to a child shortly after. Zari marries a wealthy man and, with the help of her broker, Bahram, schemes to obtain her husband’s wealth. Zari’s husband dies of a heart attack, and Amir is falsely accused of being the murderer by Zari. He is imprisoned. Amir’s son loses his sight in a car accident, and after being acquitted, Amir agrees to divorce Maryam at Zari’s request in exchange for funding their son’s eye treatment and to live with Zari. Bahram, who realizes he’s been deceived, throws Zari from the rooftop of his house. In the end, Maryam and Amir begin a new life together after their son’s eye treatment.
