Nosrat, a middle-aged woman who cannot have children, reaches a point where she can’t bear the disappointment of her husband, Nasrat, who desires to have children. She decides to leave the house and seek a divorce. Nasrat, deeply hurt by Nosrat’s departure, makes the surprising decision to marry a lonely girl named Mandegar in an attempt to frighten Nosrat and convince her to return home. As Nasrat navigates this new situation with two wives while waiting for the divorce process with Nosrat to conclude, he unexpectedly learns that Nosrat is pregnant and no longer wishes to separate from him.
