Reza, who has feigned madness, escapes from the asylum with his friend without the knowledge of the authorities and later robs a factory. Meanwhile, Farokh, a young writer who bears a striking resemblance to him, visits the asylum to research the lives of the insane and ends up switching places with Reza. On the other hand, Reza enters the aristocratic life of the writer. After a while, he falls in love with the writer’s fiancée, Farangis, and plans to return the money. However, his friends betray him, seriously injure him, and steal the money. Weak and injured, Reza gets on a motorcycle but collides with a municipal truck and is killed.
