Mahmoud is the driver of a young, wealthy, and hedonistic man named Bahram. Bahram is attracted to Maryam, the daughter of Pahlevan Baba, an elder in the neighborhood. However, Maryam, who dreams of a better life, is deceived by her friend Giti’s words and gets seduced after associating with Bahram. Mahmoud, reluctantly, discusses the matter with Pahlevan Baba and secures a promise from Bahram to marry Maryam. However, Bahram flees to Europe on the night of their engagement, and Pahlevan Baba dies of grief. Maryam runs away from home and seeks refuge with Mashaallah, Bahram’s manager, and starts working in a factory. Later, she gives birth to her child in a maternity hospital. Mahmoud finds her after she has abandoned her child and fled the hospital. He adopts the baby and raises him as his own. Years later, Bahram returns from his travels and is involved in a car accident with Maryam, leading both to the hospital. Maryam, intending to kill Bahram, agrees to marry him when he proposes. Bahram is found to be infertile and seeks out Mahmoud and his child, Mehdi, who has become paralyzed due to a fever. Later, they all reunite, and after Mehdi’s legs are treated, they decide to live together following Mehdi’s suggestion.
