Sadegh and Naeim deliver a smuggled cargo to Yavar and flee from the gendarmes. A young girl asks for their help to take her sick father, and Naeim, intending to deceive the girl, is stopped by Sadegh. Naeim’s mother demands punishment for Sadegh and forces the young girl to testify against him. Sadegh is sentenced to prison and asks the sergeant to allow him to see his son Gholam, who lives with his elderly mother, one last time. Twelve years later, Sadegh is released and plans to leave the town with his son Gholam, but he cannot find his child.
