An elderly man transports a painter from Abadan to Mino Island so that he can paint the house of his insane and alcoholic commander. The wealthy lord is incapable of accompanying his young wife. Although the woman believes that her husband has ruined her life, she improves the state of the house and the farm with the assistance of the elderly man. The woman’s loneliness gradually brings her closer to the young worker. When the man discovers that his wife has been lost, he uses the gun of his ancestor to murder the worker. In retaliation, the woman murders her husband and weeps over both of their corpses.
