A man’s wife dies during childbirth, and the man also loses his life in an accident. Everyone considers the stepbrother, Shahram, unfortunate. Against the wishes of his late wife Kobra and his son, Karim takes on the responsibility of caring for his nephew, Shahram. Due to a fall down the stairs, Karim loses his sight, and his son squanders his wealth. Shahram escapes from his uncle’s house and ends up with his uncle’s friend Morteza and his uncle, who are impoverished and homeless. Shahram brings luck to Morteza and wins a billiards game, becoming engaged to Bahjat. After marrying her, he takes over the management of his father-in-law’s room. Kobra and her husband work as servants in their house. To cover the medical expenses for her husband’s eye treatment, Kobra takes some money from Bahjat’s purse, and Shahram reveals that Karim is his uncle. After Karim’s eye treatment, they all live together as one family.
