Mehdi, after getting acquainted with Shirin, helps her to remove Ata, who has murdered her father and is attempting to seize a cabaret with forged documents that belongs to Shirin. His brother, Mahmoud, who has studied medicine, returns to Iran and becomes interested in his cousin Homa, who has been raised with them since childhood. They decide to marry, but Mehdi’s mother opposes Mahmoud’s marriage, arguing that her eldest son should marry first. Unaware of Homa’s feelings for Mahmoud, the mother chooses her as Mehdi’s life partner. Disheartened, Mahmoud and Homa refrain from revealing the truth. In a turn of events, Ata is murdered, and Mehdi, having a history of conflict with him, is accused and arrested. In his absence, Mahmoud, in ignorance, dishonors Homa. After the real murderer of Ata is caught and Mehdi is released, he arranges the marriage of Mahmoud and Homa, knowing about their affection for each other, and then goes to Shirin.
