Bita is fond of her ailing father, but her mother is neglectful towards them. Bita is deeply in love with an intellectual journalist named Kourosh, but the love is unrequited. Despite Bita’s efforts, Kourosh says he has no intention of marrying her. With the death of her father and the disappearance of Kourosh, Bita’s world turns dark, and she is forced into an arranged marriage.
